Dez BryantA remains a free agent. After being cut by the Dallas Cowboys last month, the former Pro Bowl wide receiver continues to look for a new team for this season. There have been teams that have shown some interest in Bryant including the Green Bay Packers who cutA Jordy NelsonA back in March. However, with the Packers drafting three receivers last month -A J'Mon Moore,A Marquez Valdes-ScantlingA andA Equanimeous St. BrownA - it looks as if the Packers are not going to pursue Bryant and go with one of the three rookie receivers to possibly take the place of Nelson. But looks aren't everything.

It's not known if the Packers are in the running to sign Bryant or if they have any interest in bringing him in for a visit. What we do know is the Packers were reportedly looking for a wide receiver during free agency as they tried to signA Allen RobinsonA andA Sammy Watkins. Bryant is not the same receiver he was in 2014, but he still a better option than Robinson or Watkins and he would not have any problems fitting into the Packers offense. Bryant did tell Dallas Cowboys on 247Sports reporter Mike Fisher that he did not think he would sign with the Packers because of the "history," but Patrik Walker of Dallas Cowboys on 247Sports said the Packers are still in play for Bryant.

a€œTeams like the San Francisco 49ers and even the Los Angeles Rams come to mind, but don't go ruling out the Green Bay Packers just yet, no matter what Bryant says publicly,"A Walker said. "A diehard Texas guy, the most perfect fit of all places the bullseye squarely on the Houston Texans with the New Orleans Saints not being far behind, if the latter can make the deal work.a€
