Bucs tight end O.J. Howard getting second opinion on injured ankle, uncertain for Sunday

Bucs tight end O.J. Howard will receive a second opinion on his injured right ankle, and his status for Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers remains uncertain.

Howard was injured late in the fourth quarter of the Bucs' 38-35 loss to the New York Giants after his final reception of the day as linebacker Tae Davis tackled him from behind and his weight came down on the back of Howard's right leg.

"O.J. is still being evaluated," Bucs coach Dirk Koetter said. "They had to get some further tests, and that information is going to have to be sent for a second opinion, and we're probably not going to know what until late (Tuesday) or possibly Wednesday.
